I think Dean is first.
sm knows.
Yep Jack saids it all in less than a minute.
He lets us know that HRCs campaign is a big joke.
This video is disgusting.
Who is Maria Barts?
Does everyone know that HRC voted against a Leahy amendment to limit cluster bombs?
For example, she opposes the international treaty to ban land mines. She voted against the Feinstein-Leahy amendment last September restricting U.S. exports of cluster bombs to countries that use them against civilian-populated areas. She opposes restrictions on U.S. arms transfers and police training to governments that engage in gross and systematic human rights abuses, such as Egypt, Morocco, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Israel, Pakistan, Cameroon and Chad, to name only a few. She insists upon continuing unconditional funding for the Iraq war and has called for dramatic increases in Bush’s already bloated military budget. She has challenged the credibility of Amnesty International and other human rights groups that criticize policies of the United States and its allies
Clinton has visited other countries and proclaimed outsourcing will continue.

Experience or Judgement? From a Firefighter's perspective
http://www.dailykos.com/storyonly/2008/3...
All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy. All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy. All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy.
Mary vb. Good Experience or Judgement article. As a past volunteer firefighter I know that if I chose to go into a building with someone I wouldn't be asking about their experience, I would be wondering if they had the integrity and moral conviction to make a good judgment and pull me out of the fire with them ,if need be, or leave me inside to burn. Experience isn't always "good" experience... Peace. Dogma
Evening all -
If you have HBO turn it on - Carlin is on a roll about God, America and patriotism
Yeah, Dean is first.
Why?
He actually went down into the trenches. To do the nitty gritty. No rock star ackwowledgement for that kind of work. But no rock star could exist without the grunt work of others.
Again, Dean is first.
The Clinton noise machine leaked this to the press. What a sweet deal for SNL right after the writers strike. SNL has never endorsed a candidate until Tina Fey did it last week. Something stinks.
re SNL: you have to admit Hillary is easier to make a joke of, donna

There is SO much to this. Obama got on committes for 3 months just to get REzko jobs, etc. There is alot here. Rezko has been Obama's main money bag man. And, that money man also was doing business with bad guys, crooks and arms dealers. And they met Obama through Rezko. And they have made many deals together. There is so much here. The land deal was just the icing on the cake, and that was done while Rezko was already in trouble and under investigation.

To borrow your phrase from the previous thread "how dare you" put this cr*p on the blog with absolutely NO citations or links to back it up. Guess we'll get to see it again and again as per your MO.
Good thing I don't watch SNL anymore. Hillary is trying to appear more hip but it's just not organic with her so the younguns will see right through it. She gave up two rallies today to do this and The Daily Show. I guess the rallies aren't overflow like Barack's so maybe she had nothing to lose plus it's FREE MEDIA.
good to see .... Peace. Dogma
are there still UN Peacekeepers in southern Lebanon that might need to get out of the way of renewed hostilities?
Wilco will be the musical guest on SNL - and they're Obama supporters.
s m
I do think coming to the blog might be bad training for phone banking since we can get argumentative here and that is something to avoid at all cost on the phone asking for votes.
What could be the worst case scenario if this lawsuit to seat Florida delegates really does go all the way to the Supreme Court? Seriously. The appellate hearing is on March 17. Then they say they will continue to the Supreme Court. What prevails? Can the nominee stand if the case is before the court before they adjourn in August?
Lawsuit over Florida delegates will be appealed to Supreme Court if needed.
A Wake Up Call for Hillary by Maureen Dowd.
This is hilarious.

s m thank you for the article from the Nation on Howard and this is a quote that I liked:
Stylistically and rhetorically, the brash and rumpled Dean and the smooth and graceful Obama couldn't be more different. Yet the link between the two dates back to '04, when the offshoot of Dean's presidential campaign, Democracy for America, supported Obama in the Illinois Senate race. Dean's advisers admit that Obama is a more inspirational and disciplined presidential candidate than was Dean, able to excite the Democratic base while bringing in new voters, energizing a new crop of organizers and expanding the electoral map. This is borne out by Obama's remarkable performance thus far in red states like Idaho, Alaska and Alabama--places where Dean has invested heavily. "From a progressive who wants to see Democrats compete in all fifty states, you'd have to give the nod to Obama," says Trippi.
Here's the link again:

this part tickled my funny bone:
---------
Is the message that Hillary is Ready on Night One? That she won’t have to waste any time if she’s rousted out of bed in the wee hours, because she’s wearing a pantsuit under her pantsuit?
----------
Okay, enough silliness - off to watch Gone Baby Gone.
Can the nominee stand if the case is before the court before they adjourn in August?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
crank it up in Ohio, Obama and put this thing away before the Supremes strike again
yes with 2025 without Florida and Michigan who then can be seated to no effect if so ordered
Not to be chicken little or anything, but our Camp Blanding, a N'al Guard training place makes big gun noises sometimes and they have signs up there that say "The Sound of Freedom" -- well either someone is into rhythmless rock and roll, or Blanding is at it far after our Quiet period has begun -- still at it at 11:51 if that is what the noise is. Usually the noise is followed by some military action on the news.
Phil,
Thanks for the advise. I am going to take it and stay off the blog until I'm finished phoning.
So far, I've read on Huffpo, Americablog, and Raw Story that Hillary will be making a "surprise" appearance on SNL.
A couple of weeks ago I got suckered into watching that crappy show because it was rumoured Roger Waters would perform the entire Dark Side Of The Moon.
Fool me once......
But even if Hillary does appear, it's just another of her last minute gambits of desperation.
s m Many props!! Keep practicing. Phone banking builds the thick skin required for door-knocking. When calling Democrats, keep in mind, and in conversation,that agree, disagree or indifferent, we are united 'til death itself in ridding our government of the pestilence of Republicanism
Brought up at a County campaign meeting: A program to reach out to Independents and indifferents...Call it Democrat with a 6-pack.
Wife says stop typing silly & get some sleep.
Phone banking builds the thick skin required for door-knocking.
Think skin is one way to put. Unmitigated gall is how I prefer to characterize harassing perfect strangers.
Hi all. Back from dinner, again. Sitka, I hear you but they test these methods...must be a reasonable payoff for knocking on doors.
New thread, also.
well, SNL lost its punch decades ago....but what is wrong, or how are we "being played" by the fact that Hillary is making an appearance there?
I like the what you said, Steve in Nebraska. Thoughtful post.
lol... I like the what you said should have been:
I like what you said:)
Very good point, sea. I honestly don't why so many have only the the demagogic approach.
should also say that many do not have that approach which is what keeps me coming back.
"Yet the link between the two dates back to '04, when the offshoot of Dean's presidential campaign, Democracy for America, supported Obama in the Illinois Senate race. Dean's advisers admit that Obama is a more inspirational and disciplined presidential candidate than was Dean, able to..."-----
I recall reading posts from many Dean supporters here that Obama shunned Dean after the DFA endorsement. I don't recall the specifics but definitely recall many bloggers expressing anger at Obama for that.
"That Nicholson endorsement has been out for a day and a half."---
Actually, he publicly endorsed her a few weeks, back. The ad is new but he came out for her some weeks back.
Gee, just checked in an say this....Except I didn't say "without links or citations"
And, I didn't know you needed links for a story that's been talked about and posted so many times, but even if you looked further down, I provided NUMEROUS LINKS for articles on this KNOW AND TRUE story when Sitka said "no links or citations"?
Go back to the bottom and you'll find many there.
Here Annilow, being you posted my response to Tom with out the links I did post further down, I thought in fairness I should post what you neglected.
61. Gee, Sitka, can't keep track. Half the ones say, we can find our own links, the other complain for them, but then half of those complain after you post the link.
Sure, I'll bite.
There is just sooooo much. And many have been posted. And you a whiz at googling could pull up a boat load, but sure, I'll humor you.
WOW...just going to the Sun Times right now, this is on the front page.
